For your kind consideration is this awesome vintage Ludwig 12×17 tenor drum that’s been converted to a micro bop bass drum. Yes, we’re sure this drum is 12″ deep x 17″ diameter, and we’ve had other drums this size in the past. This drum sports the 1958-1959 Ludwig Keystone Transition badge. The 2 holes from the original leg rest are present as are 4 additional holes from a rail mount that was added at some point. There are also two holes where a second set of spurs were installed, which may be an upgrade worth taking advantage of to lift the batter side to help your bass drum beater make center contact. The inlays on the hoops, which were offered as a standard option, have been replaced and are in great condition, as are the edges and interior. Most importantly, this drum tunes up well and sounds awesome with that punchy boom and sweet musical note of a small bass drum. It’s an absolute joy to play.
