Drosera binata ‘Marston’s Dragon’ is a renowned sterile hybrid created by Adrian Slack in 1983 from Drosera binata var. multifida f. extrema crossed with Drosera binata var. dichotoma ‘Giant’. Its long, cascading leaves, reaching 30 to 40 centimetres, end in curled tips reminiscent of Chinese dragon whiskers, hence the name, while the lateral segments arch like claws. It combines the strength of dichotoma with the irregular branching of multifida, showing colours from yellow green to deep red under strong light, enriched by reddish pink tentacles. It produces large flowers on tall, straight scapes and is extremely vigorous, one of the largest Drosera, ideal for hanging baskets where the leaves can drape freely.Description:SubtropicalLife-cycle: perennialForm: erectLeaf: Long, arching leaves 30–40 cmCurved, claw like leaf segmentsTrap: Yellow green to deep red coloration, reddish pink tentaclesAdditional info:For more info & photos visit our blog and our page Facebook and Instagram.
