The formula has a double action effect; providing rapid oral pain relief and helping prevent infection. It is also sugar free. Anbesol Adult Strength Gel contains the highest strength of the local anaesthetic Lidocaine available in an oral pain relief gel, for effective oral pain relief Ingredients Lidocaine Hydrochloride 2% w/w, Chlorocresol 0.1% w/w, Cetylpyridinium Chloride 0.02% w/w, Alcohol 96%, Clove Oil, Glycerol, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, Sodium Saccharin, Ponceau 4R (E124), Purified Water. Active Ingredients: Lidocaine Hydrochloride 2% w/w, Chlorocresol 0.1% w/w, Cetylpyridinium Chloride 0.02% w/w Directions Apply a small amount of gel to the affected area with a clean fingertip. One application should be sufficient to obtain temporary pain relief. If necessary, repeat application every three hours. Not for use in teething infants.
