Flowering Gum Leaf Earrings

These one of a kind handmade flowering gum leaf earrings are lightweight and easy to wear. I handmade a metal stamp to cut out the base leaf shape and then formed the flower and vein by hand. I formed the stamp from a piece of brass sheeting and bent to shape using an illustration guide that I drew by hand. The leaves are a rich olive green, similar to the colour of an Australian gum leaf. Each pair is different as each pair is lovingly made by hand separately. These earrings make the perfect gift for a friend or loved one who enjoys Australiana or the Australian bush flora. The gum nut on these is metallic gold in colour, with a metallic blush pink flower formed by hand. The earrings are finished with surgical steel (stainless steel) hooks with a rose gold plate, making them suitable for sensitive ears. I myself have sensitive ears and always search for earrings using hypoallergenic findings. Flowering gums are a short native gum tree that produce stunning flowers in several colours including pink and orange.
